Playground Charger A165017 7' clear plastic cordThe title of this piece, Playground, conveys the spontaneity and joy of its making. The artist gathered together pieces of damp clay from several previous projects and combined them, like a collage, into one large piece. Instead of a glassy coating of glaze, she applied a wash of red iron oxide before the final firing, maintaining the earthy, rustic quality of the clay. A removable wire loop allows hanging with ease.
