Woodfired Figure Series 4 - Figure Study with Heart, Woodfired IV P08137-P00180 where it become one seamlessThe surface on this one of a kind stoneware clay figure with a heart cut out was achieved by the atmospheric firing wood fired kiln: the kiln is fueled with woods of variable size throughout its seven day firing. The ash is carried on the flame and airflow throughout the kiln until landing on the surface of a piece, vaporizing to become glaze. A poignant reminder of the love in all of our hearts. Glossy finish Ceramic: fired at cone 10, vitrified One
