The gilding on the crossguard and pommel are still in excellent condition and show only slight signs of wear although the crossguard does show scratches and contact wear. The grip is an off white color and is the celluloid over wood style that is tightly wrapped with twisted brass wire. The grip shows some slight scratch marks and shows signs
