Commune of Buttons Syrah 2021 over-98 The grapes for this wine

The grapes for this wine are drawn from Von Buhl's organically tended sandstone-rich parcels in Deidesheim and Ruppertsberg

which is strongly varietal

A full and accurate flavour combined with a fine freshness and a rich bouquet bear witness to the ageing of this cuvee in the House's traditional cellars

Steve has always been an avid lover of Nebbiolo

Commune of Buttons Syrah 2021 over-98 The grapes for this wineBasket Ranges favourite sibling act sourced Eastern Adelaide hills fruit grown in the cool shadow of a hillside. Angling for a lighter bodied Syrah, the pair opted for 80% whole bunch and a gentler hand in the winery. The flavours arent shy however, with punchy violet and blueberry notes, and bright acid and forthcoming tannin. A delightful little red.
