Quartz - Pakistan Even though they may lookThis specimen is referred to as a double terminated diamond quartz. Although it is just a high quality quartz point, it does shine like a diamond with its clean faces. Quartz is the second most abundant mineral on Earth accounting for around 12% of the Earth's crust. Its name is derived from the German word "quarz" meaning hard. Quartz can form in trigonal or hexagonal crystal systems depending on the temperature during formation. Crystallized quartz
