Confederate General D. H. Hill (Hartley-CA) heritage Marbury’s compilation of nineteenth-century patternsby Chris J. Hartley Unlike most Civil War books published these days, here is something that is both original and essential. This is a fine biography of an important man, skillfully executed by an extremely able historian. Robert E. L. Krick, author of The Battle of Gainess Mill
