Officer's wooden head is finely carved and beautifully hand painted. The expression on his face is just amazing. His hands and legs are also made of wood and hand painted. The body is made from a flannel type of fabric. This puppet is a rare find from an old hand puppet set. His origin is unknown. He is likely German, made in the early 1900s.
