I feel a certain sense of nostalgia when I look at these simple little wind-up tin toys

I've tidied and updated this one which pre-dates the 1955 period with a backing and edged with small beads

The piece is finished with a black seed bead and button clasp

Vintage Belt Necklace Festival They hang from good qualityEven though part of this delightful little vintage belt was missing and it was showing its age (aren't we all!), I couldn't help but bring it home to see if I could reinvent it somehow. I decided to make the original buckle the top of the necklace and each of the seven segments below has a pretty delicate stamped design possibly to imitate cut steel. I love the beautiful worn patina of greyish silver although it may well have been very much brighter
