  HEPATITIS

Hepatitis Awarenesss|Hepatitis Awareness Duabi

It is the inflammation of the liver, which can cause liver failure and can lead to death. These infections are caused by viruses that can spread easily; early detection and care is important. Screening and treatments are fully covered for Dubai Visa holders under DHA for:
• Hepatitis B
• Hepatitis C

WHY IS SCREENING SO IMPORTANT?

Screenings are medical tests used to check for health conditions before there are any signs of symptoms. This can include tests, physical examinations, or other procedures. Therefore, for the safety and health of the individual, this can prevent or reduce any needless pain later.
Early detection through screening, followed by treatment and control of the condition, can lead to better outcomes and lower the risk of serious complications. It also gives the option to expand the existing treatment coverage for patients to ensure access to important health care and potentially save lives.

ELIGIBILITY
In order to get the screening under this program, the insured must fit the following criteria:
• Insured members holding a residence Visa issued from the Emirate of Dubai, with validity of not less than one year.
• Applicable for existing and new residents in the Emirate of Dubai without previous diagnosis.
• The above applies for existing and new residents of the Emirate of Dubai who were not diagnosed before entering the country.
• Existing and new residents who were diagnosed prior to entering the country will become eligible for enrollment only after one year of residence in the UAE.

Early diagnosis and screening coverage under the insurance depends on the eligibility check and criteria per the DHA guidelines.
