This Insurance is intended to cover the Employer in respect of liability for payment of compensation in terms of Chapter VIII Article 37 of UAE Federal Labour Law No. 33 of 2021 to their employees for Bodily injuries, and in the event of fatal accidents during and arising out of in the course of employment. The Workmen’s Compensation applies to all the employees included in the definition of the Workmen.

The Compensation payable under this Policy is as per Article 37 of UAE Federal Labour Law No. 33 of 2021 and the cover is against Accidents taking place at the work resulting in either the death, disability, or injury. The maximum Compensation payable for Death as per the existing Law is 24 months’ basis Salary subject to a Minimum /Maximum as stipulated in the regulations. Disability Compensation is as per the percentage of Permanent Disability, if any, suffered by the Workmen.

If the Disability is of temporary nature only, then the compensation payable is based on his actual Weekly salary calculated for the number of days he is totally disabled from attending his duties due to the work accident injury. This is based on the Disability Certificate issued by the attending Doctor. All the Medical Reports Medicines purchased, Doctor’s Prescription etc., as are required by the Company shall be provided. Medical Expenses can be covered up to a Limit provided in the Policy.
